Pentland Wholesale has reported a healthy set of financial results for the 12 months to 31 December 2017, according to its latest publicly-available accounts on Companies House.
The wholesaler, which imports commercial refrigeration, air conditioning and catering equipment, recorded its highest ever turnover of £14.4m, nearly 12% up on 2016’s total of £12.9m.
The vast majority of its revenue was generated from the UK, while almost £172,000 originated elsewhere in Europe.
Gross profit margin was also up from 22.2% to 23.6%, while operating profit increased too, from 2016’s £910,000 to more than £1.4m, a 54% uptick.
Following this accounting period, the Pentland Group subsidiary took over ownership of ventilation equipment fabricator, The Canopy Company, from sister firm Acme Facilities Group.
