Pat Newman to stand down as Cedabond secretary

Pat Newman, long serving company secretary at buying group Cedabond, is leaving the company at the end of this year.

“After 18 years of loyal service Pat, one of the catering equipment industry’s great unsung heroes, has decided the time is right to move on to a new challenge,’ said Cedabond executive director, Phil Martin.

“Both myself and the other members of the board tried very hard to get her to change her mind but, in true Pat style, she was determined to move on, so all we can do now is wish her the very best for the future and thank her for the tireless work she has done for Cedabond during nearly two decades.

“Pat has been a fantastic steadying influence during her time with the company, effortlessly taking on board all the changes at Cedabond, particularly over the last few years.

“Whatever went on we all knew that Pat would make sure that everything happened in a timely and professional way.

“Along with her day-to-day duties she has provided great support to the rest of the Cedabond team and, most recently, masterminded the new website which all in the industry agree is a vast improvement on its predecessor.

‘We are well on the way to appointing a successor to Pat and a further announcement will be made in due course.

“In the meantime, Pat has very kindly agreed to stay with Cedabond until the end of the year to help with training her successor and to ensure that all the supplier contracts are in place ready for the start of 2016.

“We will all miss her and we wish her well in whatever she chooses to do in the future.”
