Parsley in Time showcases ‘thrilling’ bar concept

Parsley in Time showcases thrilling bar concept at the Restaurant Show 2021 crop
Parsley in Time will showcase the Thrill glass chiller at the Restaurant Show 2021.

Parsley in Time has added the latest ‘Thrill’ bar glass chiller to its portfolio.

The Thrill uses carbon dioxide to chill and sanitise a glass to -40°C. A bartender holds the glass over the Thrill dispenser, which blasts CO2 into it for a few seconds, and the job is done.

It should minimise emissions as it uses 5g of CO2 per second – the same amount as in a human breath, and about 70% less than conventional CO2 glass chillers.

The spectacle as the Thrill works can add a theatrical flourish to any serve. The chiller can be used with all types of glasses as well as other barware, such as shakers.

It’s suitable to use with cocktails, beers and chilled wines. It is designed to reduce or eliminate the need for ice, which could save the operator costs, and enhance the drink, as there’s no dilution.

The Thrill is claimed to kill 88% of the bacteria found on glassware and so could help with hygiene concerns. It could also add to customer enjoyment, as the bacteria it destroys can cause odours or unpleasant aftertastes, spoiling the drink.

The machine is a compact unit that should fit on any bar. It’s available in a variety of different and attractive models, in both countertop and drop-in formats.

Parsley in Time will be demonstrating the new machine at the Restaurant Show 2021, taking place in London’s Olympia on 27-29 September.

Elsewhere on the Parsley in Time stand (GJ10), visitors will be able to check out the latest designs and concepts in tableware and glassware, from major suppliers. This includes fine bone china from Royal Crown Derby, casual dining crockery from DPS Tableware and fine crystal glassware from Elia.
