Parry Catering Equipment is preparing for a change at the top, with current chief executive Terry Cooper set to step down from his post at the end of this week.
Cooper has been with the company for 12 years, but will take retirement on Friday 28 June, which incidentally is the day of his 68th birthday.
Cooper also shares managing director duties with finance director Gary Rose, who will take over as the sole MD from July 1.
Parry has been getting ready for Cooper’s retirement for some time, bringing in a new sales director and operational director last year in a bid to strengthen the senior management team ahead of his departure.
“It has been pretty well thought out over the last 18 months and although we are sorry to see Terry retire because he is a key player who will be missed, the business won’t suffer because of it,” said Rose.
Parry manufactures a range of cooking and catering equipment at its factory in Derbyshire. Around 30% of its turnover comes from products that it imports from overseas to augment its own-label range.
