Pantheon Catering Equipment is highlighting its plug-in IND340 induction hob as being suitable for outdoor cooking during the summer months.
MD Nick Pendlebury detailed: “There are a large number of restaurants and pubs that don’t have, or don’t want, a barbecue yet have customers who want to eat outside when the weather permits.
“A very cost effective, quick and easy way of cooking outdoors is to use one or two plug-in items of kit that will create the al fresco buzz that customers want, but which avoid the hard work associated with a barbecue. As long as a convenient power point and a table are available, there’s no reason at all why this type of equipment can’t be used outdoors.”
The manufacturer believes its induction hob is suitable for a variety of dishes. However, in an outdoor setting, it could cook multi-portion dishes like paella.
The unit is said to have a durable stainless steel body. It offers 10 temperature settings ranging from 60° to 240° via touch controls. It also has over-heating protection and an LED timer display.
Another option is a contact grill which can be used for steaks, fish or burgers to be served alongside a range of salads.
Pantheon offers a range of contact grills in a choice of models and sizes. The range includes ribbed and smooth finishes across chrome, cast iron and the latest ceramic models.
Because these items are said to be ready to use virtually instantly and easy to clean afterwards, they can be utilised as desired without any special planning. Also, they could provide a secondary cooking facility, both for front and back of house, for the less clement portion of the year.
