Panasonic has unveiled the latest addition to its Professional Kitchen portfolio, the NE-1684 microwave oven.
The successor to the NE-1853, the new model is lighter and delivers better results with improved efficiency, whilst using less energy.
The company’s inverter technology allows operators to cook, reheat and defrost at an accurate and consistent power level.
Operators will be able to utilise its precise power level controls to cater to cooking different products, ranging from cooking vegetables to defrosting frozen goods.
The microwave’s power supply weighs 500g, and the machine itself weighs just shy of 18kg.
The NE-1684, which is targeting a February launch, also features a glass door and is stackable.
On the new NE-1864 microwave oven, Andrew Whyte, European product and planning manager for Panasonic Professional Kitchen, said: “At Panasonic, our focus and ethos are about combining NPD with the desire to provide our customers with the very best equipment for their business.
“For more than half a century, Panasonic has been a pioneer in microwave cooking, and our unique inverter technology is testament to this.
“We’re committed to transitioning our existing models across to utilise this state-of-the-art technology, and we’re delighted to launch our new NE-1864 microwave oven, a compact 1800W model, powered by inverter technology, which delivers higher efficiency and better results.”
