Olive Branch turns its hand to haberdashery

Linton-based Olive Branch Catering Equipment has completed a major kitchen project for Haberdashers Askes School for Girls in Borehamwood.

Willmott Dixon approached OBCE to be its Category A supplier to provide and install new catering areas for the RFI-designed school.

The project was initially valued at £380,000, but the end user required major redesign works of the counter, as well as some amendments to the main kitchen and supporting coffee bar. This increased the contract value to £460,000.

As the project’s programme was delayed due to this increased workscope, OBCE required pinpoint logistical coordination to fit the overlapping scheme within the busy summer period.

“The job was completed on time and we had a highly satisfied client,” said the dealer’s sales and marketing assistant, Mattie Kaminski.

Equipment installed included Falcon ranges, Rational combi ovens, Foster fridges and coldrooms, a BGL Proveno Tilting Kettle, a 100litre Frima VarioCooking Center and a Meiko MIQ-KM54 V6 P6 TR3 rack conveyor warewasher. Front and back of house fabrication was all supplied by CED.

Kaminski added: “The builder and client were over the moon with the installation and are now working with OBCE’s maintenance department to draw up a suitable preventative maintenance and service package.”
