Oldham-based catering equipment fabricator, Aspull Catering Equipment & Services, has filed for liquidation.
Catering Insight was made aware of possible difficulties at the firm a few weeks ago and asked Aspull Catering Equipment & Services to comment on the situation, which it declined.
Subsequently, official confirmation was filed today on the London Gazette website, which stated that the fabricator entered liquidation on 15 May.
The statement reads: “Notice is hereby given that the following resolutions were passed on 15 May 2018 as a special resolution and an ordinary resolution respectively:
“That the company cannot, by reason of its liabilities, continue its business, and it is advisable to wind up the same, and accordingly that the company be wound up voluntarily and that John Paul Bell and Toyah Marie Poole both of Clarke Bell, Manchester, be appointed joint liquidators for the purposes of the voluntary winding up of the company.”
The London Gazette notice records John Parrott as the director of the firm.
Aspull Catering Equipment & Services was established in 1993 and ran a design and manufacturing facility in the Royton area of Oldham. Its website states that it could provide project management and site surveys with detailed and costed design proposals.
From its base it provided bespoke servery counters, as well as tables, sinks, benches, canopies and other general fabrications. Manufacturing to CE standards, it specialised in commercial stainless steel catering equipment, and hot, refrigerated and ambient display units made to measure.
The company also offered an after sales service including preventative maintenance programmes.
