Finnish kitchen ventilation company Jeven is stepping up its sales efforts in the UK after setting up an operation in the UK.
Jeven has been manufacturing high-performance commercial kitchen canopies for more than 25 years, but has only recently begun to increase its coverage in the UK.
For the last three years, Jeven’s equipment has been installed in the UK by Cyclone Ventilation in Leeds, after it was chosen as the preferred in-country partner for sales of filtration products.
That relationship will continue, but Jeven will now have its own dedicated office, legal entity and sales force to develop the business. The investment means Cyclone, meanwhile, can focus on its primary activities of installation and servicing.
Richard White, director for Jeven, said: “With Jeven Ltd we are now in a position to manufacture and sell Jeven canopies the way they are made in Scandinavia. Jeven Ltd is currently marketing the TurboSwing filter in the UK with our own mini road show, visiting design consultants, catering consultants and mechanical and electrical companies.”
The TurboSwing canopy is a key product line for the company, which is keen to push its energy-saving credentials. It says its heat recovery, variable airflows and low pressure drop make it among the most efficient systems on the market.
Additionally, Jeven is also marketing its Cyclone range of canopies. Cyclone filtration provides a higher filtering efficiency than baffle filtration, coupled with a greatly reduced pressure drop.
Jeven offers a free design service in all the countries where it operates. Customers can email a drawing of the kitchen lay-out and the cooking equipment, leaving the design department to make the airflow calculations and provide a DW172-compliant canopy drawing.
