Nisbets smashes the £200m turnover barrier

Nisbets is offering 'Black Friday' discounts for customers in-store and online.

Catering equipment dealer giant, Nisbets, has surpassed all its previous financial results by recording a turnover of £226.7m for 2014.

This is a 16.6% increase on the £194.4m sales it posted in 2013. Pre-tax profits also grew by about 4% to £28.4m, from £27.3m the previous year.

Furthermore, headcount at the Bristol-based firm has expanded from 888 to 1,049 staff members within that year, a 16.6% spike.

According to Insider Media, in the report accompanying the result, Nisbets’ directors said: “The directors are pleased with the performance during the year and believe that Nisbets is in a strong position to sustain growth and expand its market share.

“The strategy adopted during the year has been to continually build on the market leading position established by the group. This strategy is based on already well-established products alongside the development and expansion of the product range.

“The directors’ plans for the continued development of the product range and the customer base both in the UK and abroad will include the continued development of the continental European markets, and further expansion and development of the Australian subsidiary.”
