Members of Nisbets’ finance team have raised over £1,400 for charity by taking part in the recent Cancer Research Race For Life.

13 employees participated in the annual Bristol race, sporting ‘Team Nisbets’ t-shirts and pink fluffy headgear for the occasion.

Supported by the ‘Nisbets in the Community’ scheme, which champions staff in their charity and volunteering efforts, the team all successfully completed the 5km course despite the soaring temperatures.

Anne Nisbet, chair of Nisbets in the Community (NiC), said the money raised from the race boosts its fundraising targets for the year.

“Before the year closes we will have supported both national and local charities in our community by the sum of £25,000,” she commented. “Our colleagues at Nisbets choose the charities though our NiC committee underpinning our commitment to our corporate and social responsibility strategy.’”

Nisbets employs around 700 people at its two sites in Bristol. The company was established in 1983 and classes itself as the UK’s largest supplier of catering equipment.
