Nisbets has recruited a first ever brand manager to look after sales of the refrigeration equipment that it markets under the Polar brand.
Robin Candy, who was previously sales and marketing manager at Space Engineering in Bristol, will be in charge of growing the Polar business throughout all markets in which Nisbets operates.
Given that Space Engineering specialised in refrigeration and HVAC services, Candy said he was delighted to take on a post within the commercial refrigeration sector.
“As the first brand director for Nisbets, I am excited to be able to build on and develop the current selection of Polar models,” he said. “We will continue to ensure we have a diverse range available to provide our customers with the appropriate product for their specific requirements, always attractively priced.”
The Polar line spans both front and back-of-house storage and displays, with all fridges and freezer units carrying a two-year parts and labour warranty.
“The range includes those designed to work in a normal ambient temperatures, through to our premium U range capable of operating in even the hottest kitchen environment,” said Candy.
The new man will also oversee Polar’s export activities. Nisbets cites Australia as a particular hotspot at the moment, with sales in the country up threefold versus last year, according to the Bristol-based catering equipment supplier.
