Nisbets is extending its range of eco-friendly catering disposables, with the addition of a raft of new product lines to its Fiesta Green portfolio.
Made from carbon-saving plant based materials and sustainably sourced paper, the range is designed to be compostable or biodegradable, reducing waste to landfill whilst providing a cost-effective solution that is kinder to the planet.
Additions to the range include double-walled grab and go hot beverage cups, salad cartons and deli containers in addition to the already popular selection of plates, cutlery and straws, made with materials including palm leaf, bamboo, birch and poplar wood.
With the food to go sector set to reach a value of £20.7bn, outpacing the growth of the total eating out market, the extension of the existing range has been designed to meet demand from operators who are increasingly catering for consumers on the move, who are in turn, are actively reducing their packaging waste both in and out of home.
Richard Cromwell, Nisbets commercial director, commented: “Reduction of waste is very much at the forefront of consumer consciousness, and across the industry we are seeing our customers addressing concerns around sustainability issues including the impact that single-use plastics have on our environment.
“As a business, we are dedicated to supporting our customers in their efforts to become greener, and as such are constantly evaluating and innovating our extensive range of catering and equipment solutions, working towards a greener future for all. The extension of the Fiesta Green range is just one example of our commitment to putting our planet first.”
