Nisbets’ Olympia Canvas tableware comes in six colour varieties.

Nisbets has launched Olympia Canvas, its first own-brand range of tableware designed to give chefs a good base to present their dishes.

The new range features textured surfaces to add depth, a mixture of shapes, colours and an unglazed edge to frame creations.

The range includes flat-bottomed plates and bowls to give chefs a smooth surface to showcase their creations, while curved plates and tapered bowls offer a more traditional design.

Each piece is individually handcrafted by experienced potters and finished with a reactive glaze to give a unique appearance. It comes in six natural hues and a choice of textures including smooth with contrasting rough edges and a wave-like rippled surface.

Available online and in retail stores, the new range benefits from Nisbets’ customer service solutions including guaranteed next day delivery.

Lara Sheen, product manager at Nisbets, commented: “Food presentation has always been an important part of the dining experience but in a market where consumers have high expectations and Instagrammable dishes are in demand, aesthetics are increasingly important. Now more than ever, operators are looking for tableware that not only showcases the quality ingredients and creativity that goes into their dishes but is on trend and sets them apart.

“Committed to supporting professional caterers from across the hospitality industry, we have launched Olympia Canvas, our first own-brand range of premium quality crockery, to support chefs to deliver show-stopping dishes time after time. Made by expert potters expressly for artistic catering professionals; the colour range and variety of textured surfaces available enable chefs to add depth to dishes, introduce a tactile element to presentation and show off their creativity.”
