The deadline is looming for companies wishing to get involved in a giant £8m catering equipment maintenance framework covering NHS sites throughout Scotland.
Service providers intending to submit tenders for any of the various Lots contained within the contract have until July 22 to process their applications.
The contract is intended to be a framework agreement that spans the inspection, testing, servicing, maintenance, repairs, upgrades and refurbishment of catering equipment across NHS Scotland.
All Health Boards will be required to set up their own specific contract under the framework agreement.
It is envisaged that between three and five suppliers will be appointed to each Lot. There are 10 Lots in total, covering cooking appliances, servery equipment, warewashing, food waste systems and trolleys.
According to the contract notice, the maximum number of participants to the framework agreement envisaged is 50.
The £8m value of the contract is spread over three years.
