Jestic Foodservice Solutions has extended its portfolio of Irinox blast chillers with the launch of MultiFresh Next, designed to be powerful and efficient.

With a new natural refrigerant that offers up to 40% quicker chilling and freezing for faster cycles and optimised working times, this new environmentally friendly range is designed to deliver good performance and zero emissions.

MultiFresh Next is said to be the first range of blast chillers in the world to work with the green refrigerant gas R290, better known as propane. When used in conjunction with Irinox’s latest technology, the MultiCircuit, it should ensure good performance even at partial load, saving up to 40% of energy in chilling and freezing cycles.

Steve Morris, sales director at Jestic Foodservice Solutions explained: “Chefs have relied on high performance Irinox blast chillers for many years to improve food preparation processes and increase products’ shelf-life – helping to reduce costs and waste, and maximise profits. The all new MultiFresh Next range has been completely redesigned and reengineered and the revolutionary technology offers unprecedented levels of customisation, sustainability, power and innovation and we expect it to be a big hit with customers in the UK.”

The range can be customised to suit each operation’s needs. It is possible to choose between two configurations of cycles and functions: Essential – the starting point for every kitchen with four cold functions; chilling, freezing, non-stop and cold holding, and Excellence – for those who want to take advantage of all the functions of a multifunction blast chiller, together with the new hot and cold functions designed for the most demanding commercial kitchens. In total, MultiFresh Next includes up to 12 functions and 150 cycles which can be configured by application areas i.e. gastronomy, pastry, bakery and ice-cream.

In addition, there are four types of performance to choose from – Standard: is rated with climate class 4 performance and is said to produce excellent results and quality in chilling and freezing. In this mode the temperature in the chamber should be uniform thanks to fixed speed fans designed for low temperatures.

Turbo: offers maximum performance, power and speed for excellent results above 40°C environment. This is climate class 5 and enables up to a 30% increase in the chilling or freezing capacity.

Eco Silent: The Eco Silent package enables efficient performance combined with low noise emissions – a solution for companies that have to comply with noise limits or pay special attention to the working environment.

Finally, the Turbo Silent package combines the performance of the Turbo version with the quietness of the Silent version. The result is a mode with a claimed 30% higher efficiency in chilling and freezing (compared to standard performance), but with more power and less volume.

The blast chiller is equipped with a touch pad and new Smart Display interface which should allow users to work easily and intuitively, thanks to a backlit display with a choice of two sizes; 4.3” and 10”, both featuring capacitive technology. In addition to the display, users can check the status of the blast chiller from a distance thanks to an LED bar that indicates the progress of cycles and any alarms.

Operators can also connect to the blast chiller from smartphones with the new FreshCloud app to remotely monitor operating data for the current cycle and change settings such as core and chamber temperature, ventilation and phase duration, as well as HACCP reports and all other information useful for the most efficient control and use of the unit.

The MultiFresh Next is available in six models: S/M/L suitable to hold GN1/1 or 600 x 400mm trays SL/ML/LL suitable to hold GN2/1 trays.
