New Dadibhais wholesale business up and running

Catering equipment importer Dadibhais’ new wholesale venture, Cooksmill, has hit the ‘start’ button on its operation with a soft launch at its warehouse and showroom.

The company’s management team held the event at its Regent Road HQ in Salford last week, with “dozens” of new customers taking the opportunity to view the set-up.

The Regent Road location combines a warehouse, picking and packing facility for online ordering and a retail store and showroom, all under one roof.

Cooksmill is encouraging operators and catering buyers to visit the facility and see the equipment and accessories it has in stock.

The business has been trading via its e-commerce website since the beginning of the summer and now claims to be handling a “steady stream” of orders from both commercial caterers and the public.

This week the firm launched a dedicated blog site featuring product, supplier and culinary-related information.

A company spokesperson said: “We want to be more than just another catering supplies company. We want to offer our customers some real insights into the professional catering world. We want to tell them why we sell the products we sell, why they’re so special, how to use them to the best effect and see live demos of them in use.”

Bradford-based Dadibhai unveiled its plans for Cooksmill earlier this year. Its vision is for the company to supply the brightest and best catering facilities with every item needed to equip and run a foodservice business.
