New coffee brewer hits market

The Bunn BrewWise Thermofresh coffee brewer with its twin removable urns is suited to larger hotels and conference venues, where coffee service points need to be flexible and volumes required are generally significant.

The Thermofresh can be programmed to brew up to 71 litres of coffee per hour.

The urns are vacuum insulated to keep coffee hot for several hour and are removable and coffee may be brewed in situ and then taken to different service locations.

The Thermofresh offers pre-infusion and pulse brewing, which means that coffee brew strength is optimised in accordance with SCAE’s Golden Cup guidelines.

The unit features a large spray head, which ensures that the entire coffee bed is wetted and an even extraction achieved.

Finally, the strength of the coffee can be altered with a variable water by-pass mechanism ‘Smart Funnel’ to avoid over extraction.

The filter funnel contains a data chip, which enables brewing and grinding using a wireless interface for different batch sizes and brew profiles.

Thermofresh is available on free loan via Café du Monde’s Coffee Partnership Plan, where customers purchase an agreed amount of coffee per month.

Café du Monde has identified its own Grand Cru coffee as a match for the Thermofresh. The coffee is packed in 5-litre packs, a portion for a full urn.
