Nelson Catering Equipment, a sister company of the Nelson warewashing brand, will recruit additional staff and expand its storage facilities as part of a strategy to move the business forward.
The company claims it has been able to grow its business through the recession and now wants to enlarge the business in order to better service its customers.
Nelson said it is “actively” looking for extra sales people, including two commercial kitchen sales professionals and a catering equipment engineer for London and the Home Counties.
Managing director, John Nelson, said the company was prepared to consider candidates from all aspects of the catering industry in order to bring in the right staff.
“We do, of course, have people with traditional sales experience but we also favour people with a design background and even have ex-chefs on our team, allowing us to offer a multi-dimensional level of expertise to our customers,” he said.
Nelson confirmed that the catering equipment side of the business is also set to benefit from additional investment into its warehouse and showroom operations.
The London-based business is set to utilise an adjacent premises, giving it an extra 4,000 square feet of room to operate in.
Nelson reckons that the company’s “soft-sell approach” is partly responsible for getting it to a position where it is able to expand the business.
“We are known for our integrity and our ability to find great solutions for spatial problems while always working within budget and this has resulted in an unprecedented level of recommendations,” he said.
