MW Catering sprints to clear ex-Olympic equipment

MW Catering Equipment is looking to wrap up the sale of its remaining ex-Olympic Games catering products this month.

“We still have a few items of commercial catering equipment available, but it’s selling fast though,” the company tweeted today.

Units listed on the company’s web site include a 900mm Angelo Po griddle for £750; a 900mm Falcon chargrill for £1090; and a 2-door Williams bottle cooler for £500. Stock levels vary from ‘low to ‘good’.

All equipment is advertised as “only used once,” by the company.

The company is making a donation to the Children’s Food Trust for every item of London 2012 kit it sells. Last week it revealed that it has so far written a cheque for £8,000 to the charity.

Media and communications manager for the Trust, Claire Rick said: “We are delighted with the donation from PKL which will ensure that we reach even more children and schools in 2013.”
