Murco makes it onto Energy Technology List

Murco’s complete range of refrigerant leak detection systems has been approved by the Enhanced Capital Allowance scheme (ECA) for inclusion on the UK’s Energy Technology List, the company has confirmed.

Murco’s MGD, IAM, MGS and ST-IAM range of fixed refrigerant leak detectors constantly monitor the atmosphere and trigger an alarm if they detect any gas escaping from a system. All products have achieved ECA approval for the detection of CFC, HCFC, HFC, HC and Carbon Dioxide (CO2).

The Dublin-based firm’s gas sensors enable compliance with all important standards such as the EN378, the F-Gas Directive (842/2006) and ASHRAE Standard 15.

Murco’s technical sales manager, Don Hoban, said that any leaks from a refrigerant system can reduce performance, increase costs and damage the environment.

“We are delighted that UK customers who buy our top quality leak detection products may now be entitled to a full return on their investment in year one,” he commented.

Murco claims to be one of only a few manufacturers to achieve ECA approval in the ‘Automated Permanent Refrigerant Leak Detection’ section, which also includes its US parent company, Bacharach.
