MPL and Nobel buoyed by Amazon order

Nobel Fire Systems has teamed up with Chesterfield distributor Maintaining Projects Ltd (MPL) to install its K-Series fire suppression system in the staff restaurant kitchen at Amazon’s Staffordshire distribution centre.

The system is the third of its kind to be installed at Amazon facilities in the last 12 months, as fire suppression equipment was also supplied to warehouses in Gourock, Scotland and Peterborough, Cambridgeshire.

Ben Parker, commercial director of Nobel Fire Systems, said the efficiency and overall costs of the K-Series system already installed in the two other facilities were carefully taken into consideration by Amazon and their advisors.

“We’re delighted to continue our close business relationship with both MPL and Amazon and look forward to partnering both in more projects in the future,” he commented.

Nobel’s team of installation engineers carried out the implementation during a wider staff kitchen fit-out being managed by MPL.

Nobel says its systems are electronically controlled with no mechanical moving parts and are installed in stainless steel to enhance the working life and endurance of the product.
