Moffat pays respects after director’s tragic death


E&R Moffat’s office will be closed for the afternoon this coming Friday as a mark of respect for its financial director George Thomson.

George died suddenly last Wednesday while working at the company’s Falkirk HQ.

Moffat intends to close its office from 12.00 on Friday 14 June, the day of his funeral.

The company’s managing director, William Moffat, said it has been a very sad time for everyone connected with the business.

“George was a loyal and well-respected member of the Moffat management team who served the company diligently over the last 23 years,” he said. “He will be sadly missed by all his friends and colleagues.”

Moffat will reopen for business on Monday 17 June, as per its normal business hours.
