British manufacturer E & R Moffat has announced a prize freeze on its range of fabricated products.
The company has resisted the urge to tweak its price list at a time when it claims many other fabricators are increasing theirs.
This marks the fourth straight year that it has not increased its prices, the company said.
Gary Allen, sales director of Moffat, said he hoped the move would relieve some of the cost pressure facing the channel.
“Our distributors and end-users have made us very aware that price increases are causing them big problems,” he said. “We believe that by freezing prices we can increase our sales, which will help cover the extra costs of production. Hopefully it’s a win-win for both us and our customers.”
The Moffat fabrication range includes bain maries, hot cupboards, sinks, wall benches, centre tables, storage cabinets, shelving and racking, trolleys and dispensers.
Moffat carries out manufacturing work at its factory in Bonnybridge, Scotland.
