MKN is looking to grow its network of dealers in the UK for its flexible and innovative range of kitchen solutions.
Anja Halbauer, marketing and press officer for the company’s German parent group, told Catering Insight that it wants to increase brand awareness and improve its image in the UK as part of its search for new dealers.
Leading the charge is UK sales and marketing director Stuart Long, who presented a new secret weapon at Hotelympia: the FlexiChef multifunctional appliance.
The FlexiChef, which launched in November last year, has already won trade awards including best heavy equipment innovation award at Gulfood in February, and is shortlisted for an innovation award at Hotelympia.
“If you’re looking for a cooking appliance that’s twice as fast as any other you’ve used and one that’s as easy to operate as a smartphone, or a tablet computer, then the FlexiChef is set to introduce you to a world of new cooking possibilities,” said Long.
The appliance allows caterers to cook an entire menu in only one operation. It’s suitable for everything from grilling, roasting, and frying to boiling and simmering.
New dealers in the UK will have to go through a training and authorisation process, but will be given full support from MKN in the UK and Germany.
