MKN debuts new FlexiChef 2.0 with upgraded features in the UK market

MKN has being giving the UK market its first preview of the company’s new FlexiChef 2.0 multifunctional cooking appliance at this week’s HRC show.

The updated cooker includes functions such as frying, deep frying and pressure cooking, and is the only cooking appliance with a self-cleaning skillet pan.

FlexiChef 2.0 undergoes an automatic end-of-day clean, and also has a quick two-minute clean setting for in between uses.

The brand claims the product optimises time, space, efficiency, quality and cost effectiveness.

It also comes with a touchscreen operating system and internet compatibility.

MKN says the FlexiChef 2.0 has been altered for easy installation, and is also more energy efficient than its predecessor.

Wayne Bennett, head of sales at MKN, told Catering Insight: “The Flexichef technology is about six years old, but we’ve upgraded it so this is brand new to launch at the show.

“The control interface is now tied in, exactly the same as our combis, so anyone that has a smartphone can use the technology. It’s intuitive, all touchscreen, and very fast in terms of reaction speed. It’s a 3mm toughened glass screen so it’s very robust.

“These are significant production vessels so it has its own self-cleaning system on it, the only one on the market that doesn’t need any manual cleaning. After service you lock the arm in, and that will clean the pan without the use of chemicals.”

MKN is also displaying its combi ovens at the event. Read more about them below:
