US-based firm f’real is intending to make a splash in the UK market with the launch of its first foodservice sector appliance.
Historically providing self-service milkshake machines for retail venues, the supplier is now launching a ‘serve-over’ counter-top machine for restaurant, cafe, bar and pub operators to offer pre-portioned milkshakes, smoothies and frappes.
The unit is one button solution which blends drinks at the touch of a button in 60 seconds. This is designed to reduce operator labour, and ensure no wastage and a consistent product.
Similar in size and operation to an at-home coffee machine, the compact machine is suitable for counters and back bars. The machine requires no plumbing, users only have to fill the water reservoir, plug in and use.
Flavours available in the f’real range include Vanilla, Strawberry, Chocolate and Cookies & Cream milkshakes, as well as a new frappe coffee, all of which are made with ice cream, and two new smoothies: Strawberry & Banana and Mango & Passionfruit which contain fruit.
The customisable range is also designed to offers restaurants, cafes, bars and pubs further options by adding syrups and toppings to create dessert shakes and ‘freakshakes’ or boozy ‘shaketails’ by adding a shot of alcohol – all with one machine and at the touch of a button. The beverages can also be blended to the customer’s desired thickness.
f’real estimates the blender offers operators the opportunity to serve up an extra £55k in annual revenue per site.
