Catering equipment stalwart, Mike Stagg, has returned to Hobart Cooking Solutions as area manager, responsible for the south west region, looking after the company’s growing number of partners and dealers.
Stagg enjoyed a 5-year stint with the company between 2007 and 2012, before moving abroad. He returned to the UK in 2013 and has experience on the dealer side of the fence, as project manager at SCC, and then a 2-year spell at Airedale as area sales manager.
Most recently he was southern regional manager at Dawson for the Lainox combi oven brand, before Ali Group made the decision to close the UK supplier earlier this year.
He is now being tasked with honing established relationships with existing dealers and developing connections with new ones in the south west of England. This is part of Hobart Cooking Solutions’ continued and committed partner focus in the distribution marketplace.
Stagg will report into sales manager, John Stewart, who commented: “We are delighted to have Mike back; he enjoyed a successful time with us previously and comes with a wealth of knowledge and experience within the catering equipment industry. He was involved in building up a distribution network in his last role, which is in line with Hobart Cooking’s strategy over the last few years. Mike’s appointment is at the right time to help cement our commitment to the dealer channel.”
Stagg added: “It’s nice to be back working on some great brands such as Bonnet and Hobart. I’m looking forward to utilising my skills and fostering new relationships with partners and dealers in the south west, which represents a key territory for the company.”
