Middleby UK unveils new operations director

Former Miller's Vanguard man takes over from Wendy Cunningham, who has been with the business for 18 years

Middleby UK has kicked off the New Year by announcing the appointment of Lee Gibson as its operations director.

He brings 15 years’ experience of the foodservice equipment industry to the role and has a wealth of experience in both operations and logistics, with a proven commitment to customer-centric leadership.

Mr Gibson, who previously worked at Bury-based Miller’s Vanguard, takes over from Wendy Cunningham, who has been with Middleby UK for 18 years.

His expertise will be instrumental in advancing Middleby UK’s operational efficiency and enhancing service standards, the company said.

Starting his career as a chef, Mr Gibson quickly advanced into management roles within the hospitality and catering sectors, before excelling in project management, commercial operations, and national account management within the service industry.

He commented: “Having collaborated with Middleby and its brands, I’ve seen firsthand their relentless drive for innovation and exceptional operational and customer support. Their reputation as market leaders made joining the team an easy choice.”

“I’m really excited to be joining the team; I can’t wait to get stuck in. It’s undoubtedly a fantastic time for me to be joining Middleby UK and beginning my new role.”

Chris Clark, managing director of Middleby UK, said: “I am excited to welcome Lee to Middleby UK. Lee’s operational leadership, extensive knowledge and experience in the industry will be pivotal as we continue to improve our operations and grow our business.

“With our remarkable progress in recent years, we are now positioned to lay the groundwork for the next exciting phase of our journey.”
