Middleby UK has injected further investment into its Centre of Innovation in Wigan. Just two months after its initial makeover, the further investment now includes a dedicated Lincat area, showcasing a full line up of its sister company’s brands.
Middleby’s ‘Middleby 1’ concept is all about the two businesses working together to give customers one solution. Customers visiting the centre will now get the full Middleby experience, incorporating all its global brands in a huge display.
Live cooklines enable customers to try and test equipment, with an on-site development chef available to support, develop, and innovate across all areas of cooking. The Centre of Innovation also features a Josper fine dining room and a new cocktail bar.
Lana Yaffe, marketing manager for Middleby UK said: “Our showroom is our shop window for our customers and is booked out every day for months in advance – even when we were working with a closed market.
“Implementing these changes and enhancing the way our showroom looks is key for us and adds the wow factor that our customers love. Their reactions never fail to put a smile on the team’s faces as they step into the showroom, and we can’t wait to welcome more and more customers to the centre. With the vast variety of products that we have on show it is very rare that we can’t meet a customer’s needs.”
Helen Applewhite, marketing manager for Lincat Group added: “Having this presence in the Wigan Centre of Innovation is great exposure for the Lincat brand. We are delighted to be able to showcase over 50 of our products from across the Lincat Group brands which includes FriFri, IMC and Britannia.
“Our customers now have a one-stop-shop to visit when they want to see how the Lincat products work alongside the products of our sister company’s and truly demonstrates our innovation and the Middleby 1 solution. We are excited to be starting work on a Centre of Innovation at the Lincat manufacturing facility in Lincoln.”
