Middleby Corp hires exec to charm consultants


The Middleby Corporation has hired an executive to specifically act as a liaison between all of its cooking equipment brands and the design and consultant community.

Peter Cooper, formerly of Johnson & Wales University, will hold the title of VP business development, consultant and design services, the US-based company said today.

Cooper spent six years as the executive director of culinary procurement at Johnson & Wales prior to joining Middleby.

He was part of the design and execution team for the state-of-the-art culinary school and its kitchens and has more than 30 years of experience as an executive chef, owner, consultant and educator.

“Peter’s experience at Johnson & Wales is an invaluable asset to all of our brands and will greatly benefit our customers as they endeavour to design the most efficient and effective commercial kitchens,” said Selim Bassoul, Middleby’s chairman and CEO.

lllinois-based Middleby has more than 30 foodservice equipment brands, as well as more than a dozen food processing and residential kitchen brands worldwide.
