Middleby and Waypoint back Cedabond enrolment

Two of Cedabond’s newest suppliers – Middleby UK and Waypoint Distributors – have been explaining their decision to partner with the purchasing consortium.

Middleby UK’s sales director Kenny Smith detailed: “I have been aware of Cedabond for a number of years but in the last year or so they seem to have become a lot more active and their offer seems to be far more relevant, to the point where they now have a much more established place in the market.

“We are very much a dealer focused company and going forward we believe that Cedabond will provide us with an excellent platform to grow both our own business and also that of its own members.”

While Dave Carson, divisional director at Waypoint, reported: “As a company we are growing very quickly and we already deal with a number of Cedabond members. Our P-Wave product range is not necessarily a natural fit but catering equipment dealers are becoming more and more aware of the fact that virtually every catering establishment has a washroom or toilet and that there is an opportunity for them to sell products beyond traditional catering equipment. So the product fits very well for those dealers.

“We were looking to work with a large, well respected business but also one that wants to work with us and in becoming a Cedabond supplier we believe we will be able to reach more of those dealers and help both us and them to grow.”

Commenting on the new suppliers Phil Martin, Cedabond’s executive director said: “These are two great companies for us to have onboard. One, Middleby UK, is a very well-established and respected company and the other, Waypoint Distributors, although not well known in the catering sector clearly sees Cedabond’s membership as the best vehicle for increasing sales to the dealer network.”
