Mercer Culinary’s Millennia knife handles are now covered with Santoprene texture.

Mercer Culinary has introduced raised Santoprene texture on its Millennia knife handles to further improve performance and safety.

The new raised Santoprene textured handle, along with the protective finger guard and textured finger points are all features designed to create a safer environment in busy kitchens.

Joe Flaherty, Mercer Culinary senior vice president, said: “The textured handle provides chefs with a vastly improved grip, making it much less likely to slip out of one’s hands while reducing fatigue. We took what was already an exceptional culinary tool and made it even better.”

Designed for all-day use by today’s professional chefs, Millennia knives are made of one-piece, high-carbon Japanese steel. The high-quality steel should allow for easy blade maintenance and rapid sharpening for a razor-sharp edge. The ergonomic handle is made of a combination of Santoprene for comfort and polypropylene for durability.

The Mercer Culinary brand is available in the UK through Pro Foodservice Reps.
