Menumaster Commercial from ACP is launching the compact DEC series microwave for the general market in 2022, following a successful trial at a well-known brewery chain during 2021.
The unit features an LCD full colour screen, a USB port as standard and now combined with a solid door.
Brian Lavelle, northern Europe, UK and Ireland sales manager at Culimat, Menumaster’s supplier, said: “Most great ideas are end-user driven and the 1,800W compact DEC series with its solid door is no exception.
“Our customer wanted to be able to load menus instantly via USB as this eliminated user error. The risk of incorrect settings is increased when a USB-enabled unit is not available to the operator, so the fact they can clearly see the loaded menus on the LCD screen is a bonus. The USB is loaded from saved files created on the ACP remote programming application which is free to download from its website and can be shared anywhere in the world to operator teams on the ground.”
He explained: “The downside to having a glass front microwave within view of the customer is it often gives a negative connotation to the food offering, so to help eliminate this stigma our customer requested a solid door to help overcome any associated negativity with the use of microwaves within the kitchen.”
Lavelle concluded: “The combination of the solid door on the DEC-series 1,800W microwave now sets this unit apart from anything else on the market, it’s the most advanced microwave on the planet.
“ACP Inc is the home of accelerated cooking and can trace its heritage back to the very first microwave. It’s used in QSR and foodservice chain accounts globally. The quality is in the name, every Menumaster is built for endurance and designed to reduce time in every step of the operation. Time is money, footprint is king, and so having a compact microwave leaves room for additional kit in the ever-shrinking kitchen.”
