The Menumaster Xpress IQ oven was officially launched at last week’s Commercial Kitchen show.

Menumaster has become the latest brand to join the high speed oven market with the launch of its Xpress IQ range.

The company, well known for its microwaves, has combined three types of heat to enable quick cooking: impingement, convection and microwave. The unit is said to be 15 times faster than conventional ovens, heating a 12” frozen pizza in 2 minutes 50 seconds or a toasted bagel sandwich in 30 seconds.

Claimed to have an enhanced cavity airflow for toasting, browning and crisping, the oven has a temperature range of 95°C to 270°C to cook a range of menu items. The unit is designed to have a small footprint and fit on a 71cm-deep counter.

Certified as ventless, the Xpress IQ does not require a ventilation hood, while the unit is available in stainless or optional colours.

With connectivity as standard, the touchscreen control comprises an image-based menu selection to reduce language barriers, though the programming software is supported in 25 languages.

The oven is pre-installed with non-stick liners to enable easier cleaning, while the inner drop down door is designed to reduce the chance of burns when loading and unloading the oven.

The US-based Menumaster brand is supplied to the UK through Bradshaw, which became part of the Nisbets group in 2016.
