Warewashing manufacturer Meiko UK has announced it will be unveiling a new range of technology at the Hotelympia exhibition on 5-8 March at London’s ExCel.

The M-iClean H, which offers 80% reduction in humidity and up to 21% lower energy consumption compared to the previous generation of Meiko hood machines, is said to be the first automatic hood machine to be sold in the UK with a 5-year warranty on all electrical and mechanical components of the hood system.

“M-iClean H will help to safeguard the health of kitchen staff and we are very proud to launch this product onto the UK market because it moves the entire industry forward,” said Meiko UK MD Paul Anderson.

“The M-iClean H makes ergonomic and user-friendly dishwashing a reality for the first time. The automatic hood on M-iClean H removes the need to stretch awkwardly or lift heavy loads when loading or unloading the dishwasher, improving working conditions for kitchen staff by helping reduce excessive movement and the incidence of back and shoulder pain.”

M-iClean H features exhaust heat recovery and retention of steam inside the hood, and control panel display can be displayed on the left or right of the machine or mounted elsewhere at eye level; which should further reduce the need to bend down, or strain the neck, or constantly move from one place to another.

Meiko, which is exhibiting at Hotelympia on stand 1610, will also be showing its UPster KM250 Rack Machine, WasteStar CC, M-iQ B-M54 V6 P6, UPster H500 and the M-iClean HXL Double Basket.

  1. Great to see Meiko introducing auto hood and condense technology into their range, something that Wexiodisk has had available for many years. Proves we have been doing the right thing all along.
