Meiko has released a video showing how its food waste handling technology is being used by one of the country’s top hotels.
The 4-star Lensbury, which is based in Teddington Lock, has adopted the Disperator GPS system to process surplus food product from its kitchen.
The Disperator GTS offers a tailormade food waste disposal solution for medium to high volume caterers. Badged as being easy to operate and clean, it improves hygiene and kitchen practice, while cutting collection costs.
According to chef Brett Duarte and general manager Ivor Turner the unit has already saved the venue a considerable sum of money since it was installed.
Meiko UK has recently added another option to the GTS. For smaller volumes of food waste, a storage system using wheelie bins is offered to hold the processed food waste.
Housed in a secure unit holding three or more bins, operators also have the option to have a weight measuring system installed to ensure they do not become too full.
