Meiko reinforces key account team


Warewashing manufacturer Meiko UK has refocused its key accounts sales team to provide a dedicated service for business and industry operators.

Mark Sharland, business development manager – business and industry, is now tasked with developing Meiko’s growing multi-site national account business in this sector.

Sharland has experience of Meiko’s new generation M-iQ rack and flight dishwashers and food waste handling solutions. This includes the delivery of the central dishwash for Westfield Stratford City, featuring multiple M-iQ dishwashing systems and a large WasteStar food waste handling system, catering for up to 20,000 covers daily.

He joined Meiko’s key accounts sales team last year as business development manager, moving from regional sales manager for the London and Home Counties area, a post he held for 6 years.

Sharland is an ex-chef, with 12 years’ experience working for B&I contract caterers, private schools, private members clubs, plus 4 years running his own licensed café in Gants Hill, Essex.
