Meiko regional sales role for former Hobart man

A former Hobart salesman who served the company for more than 25 years has returned to the warewashing scene with Meiko.

Robin Macaulay, who left his post as business unit manager at Hobart back in 2010, will take on the role of running Meiko’s sales activities in London and the Home Counties.

Macaulay has spent the majority of the last four years with Advance Innovation Group although he most recently worked for Devon catering equipment distributor Allsop & Pitts.

He said he’d found his long career with Hobart “very rewarding” and was keen to get back into the manufacturing side of the catering equipment business.

“When looking to re-join the equipment market, I wanted to work for a well-established business with a great reputation for product innovation and excellent in-house back up service, for which there was only one natural choice, and that was Meiko,” he said.

Macaulay replaces Mark Sharland, who has been promoted to Meiko’s key accounts team, headed by business development director Jeremy Hall.

“Robin’s experience and expertise will be a valued addition to the skillset offered by Meiko’s regional sales managers,” said Meiko’s managing director Bill Downie.
