Meiko used its Host 2021 stand to unveil its new M-iQ BlueFire warewasher, which can wash dishes, cutlery and trays in one machine.
The appliance is designed with a pioneering level of automation in a small space, which enables a fully automatic cutlery and tablet cleaning process.
The functionality is essentially designed to combine two other machines’ capabilities, and so amalgamating them should save on resources and end user staff costs.
M-iQ BlueFire features separate tracks for each type of washware. Trays are automatically sorted and conveyed in an upright position, which also helps to keep the machine compact.
The trays are then subject to over two minutes of contact time within the machine to ensure hygiene safety, including at high throughput rates. Up to 25 trays per minute can be washed, and after the cycle, the trays are automatically stacked, ready for reuse.
All cutlery is separated on the conveyor by automatically pulling it into the cutlery track using a powerful magnet. Conveyors can be tailored to each site – they can cover several floors, tight corners and long distances.
Furthermore, an infeed station with disposal chutes can be fully integrated on request to manage food waste. Meiko can then handle the transport, grinding and odourless non-refrigerated storage for waste.
