Meiko UK is providing a 2-month warranty extension to all its current customers in the NHS and care home sector whose warranty was due to expire in April.
“The very last thing that a hospital or care home wants to worry about now are problems with the dishwashers,” said Meiko UK MD Paul Anderson.
“Our warranty extension for current Meiko customers means these users have the full back up and support of Meiko Technical Services and our team of engineers operating nationwide.”
The warewasher supplier’s technical support lines are open on weekdays from 8am to 6pm, with an after-hours voicemail service available. Meiko is also promising that outside the line’s 8am to 1pm weekend and bank holiday operational window, until 5pm on those days a message can be left and within an hour an engineer will return the call to give advice on the phone or attend site.
The firm underlined that site visits may be urgently required to assess the status of machines and establish routes to their location.
Meiko engineers continue to work as normal, though with hygiene and social distancing foremost as they enter a premises.
Along with other major warewashing suppliers to the care industry and NHS, Meiko has committed to protecting customers and users of its machines in the event of breakdowns and serious maintenance issues.
If a care home or hospital has cases of the virus, the manufacturer pledged that its engineers will attend, as long as the site has the correct hygiene practices in place and the engineers can work in an isolated and controlled area with consideration to social distancing.
