Warewasher manufacturer Meiko UK has donated a Toyota Hiace PowerVan to a London charity helping refugees.

The AVDH charity is based in North London where it caters daily for victims and refugees and also for the charity’s volunteers.

Meiko UK’s MD, Bill Downie, said: “Toyota vans have been used by Meiko Technical Services for several years and have proved as reliable as our engineers in delivering a 96.6% first time fix rate.

“The van will prove a capable addition for the charity, which provides support for people who have fled persecution and war and who are in need of food, comfort and a place where they can meet their compatriots.”

The manufacturer was previously part of a group of suppliers and distributors which delivered catering equipment to the Paris branch of the same charity.
