Meiko UK’s technical support manager Mike Bean will soon be retiring from his role at the warewasher manufacturer.
At the sprightly age of 75 and after over 55 years working in the dishwashing industry, Bean has decided to hang up his screwdriver.
In 2002, he began his career with Meiko, looking after undercounter and hood-type models, from installation through to breakdown repair and PPM. Catering equipment distributors know Bean well. He deals with their technical queries on such as fault finding, services required and installation issues.
Bean summed up: “People make the company and work worthwhile. The thing with Meiko is that it is just a good all-round team. I enjoyed the job and the people I work with and that makes all the difference.”
With Bean’s upcoming retirement, Meiko is therefore now recruiting for a new technical support manager, reporting to the technical services director.
This is a demanding role based at the Slough office and out in the field with the responsibility of dealing with any technical issues and promoting Meiko Technical Service to its customer base.
Meiko UK is situated on the Slough Trading Estate, with links via public transport and car parking facilities on site.
This role has an attractive salary and benefits package for an experienced and qualified technical support manager.
