Kevin Tyson deserves the title of project pioneer as he has the expertise to develop detailed catering designs from concept to fit-out, whilst ensuring attention to detail for the client is managed at all times.

Since transferring as director of an FCSI consultancy practice 6 years ago, Kevin has worked for Space Catering in most foodservice sectors including hotels, schools, healthcare, B&I and the arts.

Most recently he completed the design and fit-out of a new kitchen, restaurant and bars for the RSC at Stratford Upon Avon, ready for the Shakespeare anniversary celebrations.

Earlier in the year he was delighted to be able to meet The Princess Royal and show her around the new catering facilities installed by Space Catering at The Farmers & Fletchers Halls at the Barbican, explaining the benefits of some of the more energy-saving equipment the dealer specified.

Kevin’s project management role sees him meeting with clients and helping them to bring their schemes to fruition, working with main national contractors as a sub-contractor catering specialist, and taking on the projects brought in by the team of Space Catering’s own sales personnel.

Kevin co-ordinates each project throughout, working alongside the Space Interior Contracts and Furniture divisions where their input is requisite on a project, and remains in constant communication with the client, updating them on progress, ensuring a smooth delivery and handover, always on time and in budget.

As Space continues to increase its turnover and expansion with the Nisbets recent take-over, Kevin will be a key project manager to ensure that clients’ aspirations are met whilst functionality of the catering design is delivered each time.
