This year Mark Kendall stepped into the CEDA Chairman hot seat a year earlier than he imagined, after Kevin Davis was forced to step down due to PKS’s demise. But Mark has risen to the challenge and is well-ensconced in helping the recently-rebranded association deliver on its 22 for 2022 strategy.
Success has also come in his day job as director of Inox Equip. Following on from an advisory role last year for renowned pastry chef Claire Clark’s Pretty Sweet patisserie service production kitchen in Park Royal, the distributor then gained the contract to design and outfit the Claire Clark Academy at Milton Keynes College. This is the first dedicated patisserie academy in the UK and will nurture the next generation of pastry chefs.
Inox Equip was involved all the way through the process from consultancy to the shell and core fit, fabrication design, walls, floors, ceilings, installation and liaising with equipment sponsors. The distributor even won this year’s CEDA Customer Service Award for its involvement with Pretty Sweet.
Mark continues to innovate and source new markets for the company, which is now in its 17th year of trading. During this time Inox has grown into a well recognised and respected company from both peers and customers.
He also heads up Inox’s sister company Tersus, delivering on premise laundries to the care sector, a new growth market for the group.
Mark’s industry peers describe him as “a committed professional” and feel he should be proud of the achievements made by Inox and its team over the last year.
