Having spent 24 years working for manufacturers and distributors, Lee Swiffen is now making his mark as a director at iFour Hospitality Design. The firm was formed 18 months-ago, with co-director Paul Martin, as a nationally-focused hospitality design house, committed to providing a complete design, supply and installation service.
iFour works closely with architects, interior designers and consultants, who usually invite their team into projects at an early stage. This last year Lee has worked on projects including Bungatini and Bunga Bunga, an authentic Italian restaurant and basement bar in Covent Garden.
He was responsible for providing several specialist cocktail bars, back of house preparation areas, open kitchens and food service counters. As the project developed he adapted to design changes and delays in the site programme, but by all accounts the end results were brilliant.
Lee is directly involved in the design and project management, as well as ensuring all of iFour’s admin runs smoothly. With his design background his main focus is attention to detail, ensuring the success of each project. Ultimately he and the rest of the iFour team want the businesses they work with to be a success, and therefore he makes sure that each design meets the client’s demands aesthetically as well as operationally.
