John McEvoy is constantly striving to grow Bournville Catering Equipment and has now had 15 very successful years as MD of the distributor.
The business has grown year on year, due in large part to his efforts to keep the overheads low and the turnover high.
John’s philosophy when establishing the firm was to give its customers a highly responsive, very personal level of service from first contact, through the supply and installation process and, just as importantly, after sales care.
This approach has been the mainstay of the business and continues to ensure it successfully provide for its customers’ needs.
Recent projects undertaken at the Solihull-based firm include installing a new hood type Meiko dishwasher at Waters Restaurant in Resorts World Birmingham, fitting two Combi Master Rational ovens at Marie Curie Solihull, and a full kitchen fitout for health food restaurant PrepFood in Birmingham, which prompted chef Paul Murrall to comment: “Bournville managed the whole project. The flow works perfectly and has given us scope to grow.”
John has been in the industry for decades and is well known and well liked throughout. Others in the sector say he is a fantastic person to learn from and work for.
His industry colleagues believe there is no way Bournville Catering Equipment could be where it is today without his hard work, creative ideas and sheer determination.
