Jack Sharkey is well recognised in the industry and his reputation, based on his knowledge and expertise of catering operations across all sectors, precedes him.
Jack has over 25 years of experience within the hospitality industry and started Vision Commercial Kitchens in 2002 with his three fellow directors. Vision has since become one of the most respected catering design, supply and installation companies in the UK. He also sits on the board and is the Immediate past Chairman of CEDA. He even stepped in this year to caretake the role for CEDA after Kevin Davis was forced to resign.
Jack is well respected for his knowledge of different styles of operations and his enviable relationships with all the major international foodservice equipment manufacturers. He has an unrivalled knowledge of the foodservice equipment market and products, enabling him to match client’s needs, expectations and budget with practical durable and innovative solutions.
He and Vision have won numerous industry awards for their work including the CEDA overall Grand Prix winner for the firm’s work in Harrods in designing, developing and implementing its second floor restaurant businesses, the FCSI Award for Outstanding Project Management at Mondrian London at Sea Containers and even Catering Insight’s own Distributor of the Year: Project Management Award in 2015.
In addition Jack also sits on the UK Foodservice BIM (Building Information and Modelling) standards task group, Build UK’s BIM Group and been the lead judge for the Hotelympia 2016 Foodservice Equipment Innovation awards. He also holds an MSc in Hospitality Design and Management Consultancy.
