Chris joined Allsop and Pitts 8 years ago to develop and run the service team which he achieved with great success through hard work and dedication.
Then last year when the Sales Director became ill and was away from the business for 7 months Chris stepped in and ran both sides of the business (sales and service). He managed a combined team of over 37 people with roles as diverse as kitchen design, equipment repairs, maintenance contracts, purchasing, direct sales, showroom sales, administration and deliveries.
At the same time and following the acquisition of a second company, Chris was instrumental in bringing Allsop & Pitts together with Cornwall Catering Equipment, two companies with diverse policies to align and offices over 100 miles apart.
On top of all of this Chris personally took over the project management of three major projects across the South of the country, travelling from Devon to Maidenhead, Central London and Brighton to do so.
Not only did he fulfil all of these duties he found time to visit his absent colleague to reassure and support him through a serious illness.
If Chris had not stepped into the breach, taken on roles outside of his regular duties and worked with colleagues old and new, Allsop and Pitts would not have achieved record sales for the period, the new company would not have formed and the A&P Group would not have been nominated as most improved in the recent Cedabond awards.
