Milton Keynes-based manufacturer Mechline Developments has successfully transitioned to the latest version of ISO 9001, the internationally recognised quality management system (QMS).
Mechline believes the ISO 9001:2015 standard recognises its commitment to continuously monitoring and managing quality across the business, as well as its endeavour to make continuous improvements.
By certifying to the ISO 9001:2015, Mechline feels it has demonstrated a sound management approach, orientated towards its customers.
The manufacturer reports it has worked hard to grow its portfolio of innovative and unique products and deliver this through an effective customer-focused operation with a ‘right first time’ ethos.
This year it is celebrating 20 years of its Dormont gas connectors maintaining the BSI Kitemark, thanks to its commitment to a manufacturing, build, testing and packing process, and ongoing quality testing (Dormont is said to be the only commercial gas hose to carry the BSI Kitemark).
John Towersey, director of quality and process improvement at Mechline, commented: “We have successfully made the transition from ISO 9001:2008 to ISO 9001:2015 with a 100% score and no non-conformities.
“This is a great achievement towards which we have been working for the last 12 months and I am very proud of our professional and competent team. We will always look to make improvements to our processes, in order to effectively deliver what our customers need and value – upwards and onwards!”
